WEATHER
WARNING SERVICE

You can receive warnings about dangerous weather conditions EVEN FASTER than the Code Red service you may already receive.

Here’s what’s changed. If you filled out a Code Red registration form for your household any time during the past year, you would have received a phone call from the City if a dangerous situation arose that might affect your family members and your residence. If the danger was a rapidly approaching storm or a flash flood, first City officials would have to be informed of the situation, determine who might be affected, record a call and send it out through the Code Red emergency notification calling system.

With the Weather Warning system, calls are automatically delivered by Code Red within seconds after warnings are issued by the National Weather Service for severe storms, flash floods and tornados. Only those residents within the projected path of the dangerous weather, who have registered for this free service, would be called.

You MUST sign up for the Weather Warning service, even if you are already registered in the Code Red system. There is no charge to residents for either service.

To register, click here or on the Code Red logo and fill out the form provided, you MUST check the box indicated for Weather Warnings. You may register up to two telephone numbers for your address. If you cannot register on line, or you have questions, please call City Hall at 526-4351.

If you still have questions, read Frequently Asked Questions
or call Brecksville City Hall 526-4351.
