Delinquent Filer Program
The Regional Income Tax agency (RITA) has initiated its delinquent filer program for taxpayers who have not filed a city income tax return or Declaration of Exemption form for Brecksville. If you have received a delinquency letter or a subpoena, you need to send the required information directly to RITA by the specified due date. You are requested to send the information to RITA via their on-line secure e-file program (the link is at www.ritaohio.com). You may also submit the required information via fax at 440-922-3510 or by mail to:
Attn: Compliance Department 198
Regional Income Tax Agency
PO Box 470538
Broadview Heights, OH 44147-0538
Please do not submit documents to any of RITA’s offices, to any specific individual at RITA, or to any address or fax number that you may use for other RITA correspondence as this will result in a delay in our processing of the documents and could also result in the taxpayer receiving an unnecessary subpoena.
Net Profit Income Tax Filers – What are your options?
While The Ohio Department of Taxation has opened up registration for net profit taxpayers to opt-in for the filing of your taxes, we ask you to consider whether this is the best option for your business. The Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) has been accepting these filings for many years and has done so with efficiency and accuracy. The City of Brecksville has been a member of RITA since 1972 and has the utmost confidence in its ability to service all the taxpayers of our City. We are asking that you go to the link http://ritaperspectives.com/ and review the summary of facts, and share such with your tax preparer before choosing your filing option.
