This year's mainenance shut down of the JAH Natatorium & Spa and the Activity Pool
will begin September 5th, and continue throughOctober 1st. The expected re-opening date is October 2.

WHAT'S BEING REPAIRED THIS YEAR?
The main pump for the JAH Natatorium is being replaced
This involves removing the old pump, installing the new one andadjusting the plumbing.
Installing a variable frequency drive with the new pump to improve the pump's efficiency and life-span.
Structural repairs are needed for the building's support columns near the spa
This involves the excavation of part of the pool deck to reinforce the columns, and repairing of the affected deck area.
Replacement of fractured or missing tiles throughout the pool deck, and repairing the grout joint between the pool wall and gutters.

WHY IS THE SHUT-DOWN THIS LONG?
The nature of the repairs prevent our Aquatics team from immediately starting the annual maintenance. The annual maintenance includes draining the pool,cleaning all stainless walls and surfaces, drain boxes, gutters, entire insidepool shell and spa shell, draining and cleaning the pool's surge tank, deep-cleaning the entire pool deck, first aid room and equipment closet, deep cleaning of the chlorinators and chemical controllers.
This annual work typically takes us 2-3 weeks, but we are unable to begin or complete most of that work until the larger projects are completed
