Each year the Brecksville Department of Human Services has presented a live seminar on how to choose a new Medicare plan during “Open Enrollment.” Open Enrollment began on Thursday, October 1 and continues through Monday, December 7. (These are corrected dates from the prior posting of this article.) Because of COVID the seminar cannot be presented this year. However, there are two alternatives.

There will be a free Medicare Guide webinar that and The Plain Dealer are hosting on October 22 at 4 pm. The goal of the webinar is to support seniors by simplifying the process of choosing the right Medicare plan during the annual open enrollment period. The special webinar will be moderated by Terry Pluto, award winning columnist for The Plain Dealer and The webinar will be a chance to listen to experts in the field and ask direct questions. The topics will be:

  • What’s new for this year’s annual enrollment period?
  • Do you have the right plan for your needs?
  • Things to consider when choosing your drug plan.
